Millions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQQ) youth are silenced every day by the bullying and harassment they experience at school.  Countless others must grapple with a hostile home environment or an intolerant faith.  Through such experiences, these youth are made invisible, many still trapped in the proverbial closet.

Georgia Safe Schools Coalition firmly believes in the notion that one voice can make a difference.  In partnership with StoryCorps, we started The Story Collection Project, to make heard the voices of LGBTQQ youth and their allies.  By sharing stories of hardship and sorrow, courage and success, GSSC hopes to bring attention to the issues that most affect LGBTQQ youth.
